娛記

說地震是報應，當然無情兼無恥；但將「karma（業/因果）」簡單譯成「報應」，又何嘗不是無深度兼無厘頭？

一個娛記朋友在「愛迪生照片事件」時，曾往一個財經場合採訪一娛圈高層，當時除他之外，當然盡是財記。朋友用他一貫搶打新聞的娛聞採訪手法搶訪該高層，自然招來在場財記不滿；朋友事後向惑仁發牢騷，訴說財記不拿他當記者，惑仁也直說，是的，財經記者（financial reporters）是記者（journalist）、港聞記者是記者（journalist），但娛記就是娛記，嚴格來說可不能算是記者（journalist）。

友人當然不忿，忙追問為甚麼。惑仁當時回答，因為娛記做的，並不算是新聞；處理消息的手法，毋須（也不會）跟隨新聞操守，因此你很難要求人家拿娛記當記者（journalist）——那沒有看不起的意思，只是一向認為娛記是娛樂行業的從業員之一，但並非新聞從業員。

“Well you know it was very interesting because at first, you know, I am not happy about the ways the Chinese were treating the Tibetans because I don't think anyone should be unkind to anyone else. And so I have been very concerned about how to think and what to do about that because I don't like that. And I had been this, you know, concerned about, oh how should we deal with the Olympics because they are not being nice to the Dalai Lama, who is a good friend of mine.

And all these earthquake and all these stuff happened and I thought: Is that karma（因果/業）, when you are not nice that bad things happen to you? （CEN的報道至此為止）And then I got a letter, from the Tibetan Foundation that they want to go and be helpful. And that made me cry. And they ask me if I would write a quote about that and I said,“I would.”And it was a big lesson to me, that some times you have to learn to put your head down and be of service even to people who are not nice to you. And that’s a big lesson for me...”

某娛樂主播在一個化妝品廣告中說：「我將專業帶進娛樂新聞……」惑仁倒想問，所謂「專業」，是否指專業的炒作技巧？還是專業地斷章取義？惑仁相信，在任何一家大學的英文課（不是新聞翻譯課），把上述原文撮寫成有線般的試卷，肯定會被評為不合格！是這幫娛記誤解了專業？還是惑仁的境界太低呢？
